To verify your phone once your claim is filed, our team will ask for a video of your phone while the screen is displaying the unique ID number located in the AKKO mobile app.
NOTE: This unique ID number can only be found in the AKKO mobile app! It is not located anywhere on our website!
Here are step by step instructions on how to capture your evidence video correctly.
Step 1: Launch the camera app from another phone, tablet or laptop
Using a different device’s camera, capture the entire screen and back of the device so any and all damage can be seen as well. The video must be filmed in one continuous shot and you must touch the screen and scroll up/down, or type on the keyboard.
Step 2: Ensure the unique ID can be seen clearly on your phone screen
Your unique ID number can be located in the app on the “Your Claims” page within your account or the login page at the very button of the screen before you sign in.
