Before your theft or mysterious loss claim can be processed, we need proof that your device has been marked accordingly.
For Apple devices:
Go to icloud.com/find or open the Find My app on another Apple device
Select your device
Enable Lost Mode
Follow the prompts to display a message with your contact information
For Android devices:
Go to android.com/find on a computer or another phone
Sign in with the Google account linked to your device
Select your device, then choose Secure Device to lock it and mark it as lost
For Samsung devices:
Sign in with your Samsung account
Select your device, then choose the option to lock it
Once your device is locked, contact your carrier to blacklist it:
Call your carrier's customer service line to report the loss or theft
Provide your account details to verify your identity
Give the representative your device's IMEI number (found on the original phone box, or your carrier may have it on file)
Ask them to suspend your cellular service to prevent unauthorized use
