A step-by-step guide to add items to your account using the website

Whether you are a new AKKO member, or want to protect another item, follow this step-by-step guide to protect your item in no time!

These steps will show you how to add an item to your account using the AKKO mobile app!


Here are the step-by-step instructions to add an item on our website!

Step 1 - Log into your account at https://akko.app/home

Step 2 - Click on the 'Items' tab or 'Your Stuff'. It will take you to the page where you can see all of your items.

Step 3 - Click on the 'Add new item' button to start adding your item details

Step 4 - Select an item category that your item is in

Step 5 - Enter in your items details as required in order to protect your item.

Step 6 - Finally, add photos of your item.

Note: Be sure to follow all instructions for uploading the photos of your phone so that it is fully protected.

  1. Click on "Add Front photo" to add a photo of the front of your device.

  2. Click on "Add Back photo" to add a photo of the back of your device.

  3. Click on "Add About photo" to add a photo of the about page of your device.

  4. Add a photo of your receipt to ensure we get the most accurate information about your item.

Here are some good examples

"Front" Photo: Taken in front of a mirror using the phone's own camera.

About Page

Take using another phone or another camera, where background must be white/bright. Turn off "Dark mode" in your settings. Make sure the ENTIRE screen is also visible.

Here are some bad examples

  • This photo is blurry, displayed in dark mode

  • It must have a white background, and should be clear and bright

  • This photo is blurry and there is a damaged screen protector

  • Remove the damaged screen protector to ensure the device is not damaged

  • Note: You do not need to remove a screen protector if it is undamaged
