How to take and add photos of your phone to your account on the AKKO website

Be sure to follow all instructions for uploading the photos of your phone so that it is fully protected. You can scroll down to the bottom of this article for example of unacceptable photos.

See examples below. 3 photos are required for phones if you are uploading images to your account on our website (Front, Back, and About Page). If you are using our iOS or Android AKKO mobile app, you are only required to upload a Front and Back photo.

1 - Photo of the "Front"

  • Taken in front of a mirror using the phone's own camera.

  • Remove any phone case you may have on your device

  • Remove any damaged screen protectors. You may leave on any undamaged screen protectors


2 - Photo of the "Back"

  • Taken in front of a mirror using the phone's own camera.

  • Remove any phone case you may have on your device

  • Remove any damaged camera lens protectors (if applicable)


3 - "About Page" Photo

  • If you are adding photos via our website, you are also required to upload an About page photo

  • Take using another phone or another camera, such as the webcam on a laptop or computer

  • The background must be white/bright

  • Turn off "Dark mode" in your settings

  • Make sure the ENTIRE screen is also visible


Examples of Photos You Should NOT Use:

Photo is blurry and the "about page" is displayed in dark mode, it must have a white background and the photo should be taken in a well lit room or during the day so it is bright and clear:

Photo is too blurry, it should be taken in full-focus. There is also a screen protector on the phone that is damaged in the top corner, it should be removed so that it's easy to see no damage exists on the device:
